GPS Tracking

Know who’s on site. Only while they’re on the clock.

Crew phones record location between clock-in and clock-out. Admins see who’s on site on a live map, replay any day’s routes, and catch clock-ins away from the job.

Why teams love it

Where the hours went, without the guesswork.

A live map of who’s on shift

See everyone clocked in: on site, moving, on break or stopped away from the job, plus who’s late to clock in.

Clock-ins checked at the job

Set a radius around each job site. Anyone clocking in outside it says why and the shift is flagged. Or block the clock-in altogether.

Off the clock means off the map

Nothing is recorded before clock-in or after clock-out. Crews agree to a clear notice first, and only admins can see where they’ve been.

How it works

From clock-in to the route on the shift.

1

Choose who’s tracked

Turn tracking on, pick the roles it applies to, and decide what happens when someone clocks in away from the job: nothing, a warning, or a block.

2

Crews agree, then clock in

Before their first tracked shift, each crew member reads a short notice and agrees. Then, if you’ve turned on the clock-in check, the app checks where they are against the job site.

3

Watch today, replay any day

Today’s map is live. Pick an earlier day and it plays back each person’s route, with clock-ins, arrivals, stops and breaks along the way.

4

Every shift keeps its route

Open a shift to see its route on a map, how the time split between on site, off site, moving and on break, and any stretch without a signal.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

When is a crew member’s location recorded?

Only between clock-in and clock-out, breaks included. Tracking stops at clock-out, and nothing is recorded while they’re off the clock.

Do I need GPS devices in my trucks?

No. It uses the Menaia app on each crew member’s phone, so it follows the people on the clock, not the vehicles.

Does it keep recording with the app closed?

On Android, yes, once location is set to “Allow all the time”. On iPhone, it records while the Menaia app is open. Time on the clock without a location is marked on the shift.

Who can see where my crew has been?

Only admins. You choose which roles are tracked, and each crew member agrees to a notice before their first tracked clock-in.

How long is location data kept?

Detailed location points for 7 days and each shift’s route for 90 days. Clock-in, clock-out, arrival and departure times stay with the time records.

Can I ask Meni about it?

Yes. Admins can ask Meni how long a crew spent at a job, who arrived late, where people stopped or how far someone drove. Meni answers from the recorded data and never changes anything.

See the workday as it happened.

Check clock-ins at the job, watch who’s on site today, and replay any shift, all without tracking anyone off the clock.
