Commission fights are recordkeeping fights.

Nobody actually disputes the percentage. They dispute which deals counted, when they counted, and what got deducted. Fix the record and you fix the fight.

Meni answers commission questions from the ledger. Which deals counted, when they closed, why a dollar was deducted: Meni reads it straight from the record, not from memory. The rep and the manager get the same answer.

The three arguments, and what settles each.

The "that deal was mine" fight

Two reps both touched the account, and now both think they own the commission. Without a record it is a memory contest, and the louder memory usually wins.

Deal ownership is set on the lead, so the record decides, not the argument.

The "it closed last month" fight

The rep swears it landed before the cutoff. The manager swears it did not. Both are looking at different calendars in their heads.

The close date is on the job, timestamped, so the period it counts in is not up for debate.

The "what's this deduction" fight

A number came out of the check and nobody wrote down why. By the time it surfaces, the reason is three weeks cold.

Adjustment entries carry their reason in the wallet, so every deduction explains itself.

Both sides read the same screen.

When the rep and the manager look at the identical ledger, the conversation is thirty seconds. Entries are projected until cutoff and final after, and the screen says which.

A Menaia earnings summary showing total earnings, positive payouts, and zero deductions above a dated transaction ledger.
0 deductions this period. When there is one, it arrives with a reason attached.

Transparency is a policy before it is a feature.

Publish the plan. Date the cutoff. Never adjust silently. Menaia enforces the last one for you, so a change without a reason simply cannot happen in the ledger.

Plans, triggers, and history.

Can different roles have different plans?
Yes. Rules are set per role and team, so a senior closer and a setter can run entirely different plans.
When does pending become earned?
On your configured trigger, typically payment collected. The ledger shows the state, so a rep always knows whether a dollar is projected or final.
Can a rep export their own history?
Their full history is always visible in the wallet. Payroll-grade exports are role-gated to admins and ops managers.

See the rep's ledger, the payroll exports, and the leaderboard fed by the same deals.
